CCTech support the design and delivery of specialist buildings and facilities in the Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical and Healthcare sectors. Our client base includes the Russell Group Universities, NHS and the UK’s top construction companies.

We are based in Cambridge and most of our projects are UK based. We also work with clients in Europe including Ireland, France and Denmark for example. We specialise in the areas of Biomedical Science, Good Manufacturing Process and Biocontainment (mainly CL3). The company is compliant to ISO standards (9001 / 14001 and 45000).

We are growing fast and are now looking to expand the team of Field Service Engineers to help us to continue to pursue our vision of Delivering Environments for Science.

What we do

CCTech are a one-stop-shop for regulatory compliance. We ensure the design in the case of new build, or the existing facility achieves compliance with the regulator(s) be that the Home Office, Medicines Health & Regulatory Authority or Health & Safety Executive.

We engage throughout the project to deliver specialist services such as, room testing and surveys for development of specifications, oversee commissioning and validation of facilities, FATs & SATs on specialist equipment for laboratories, process manufacturing and testing facilities.

On new projects we run through a full suite of testing including ventilation rates, pressure differentials, room leak rate measurement, temperature, humidity, sound/noise, lighting levels and ensure that the building meets the regulatory requirements for stability.

We are frequently called upon to troubleshoot problem facilities and risk assess activities to ensure compliance and safety concerns are addressed.

Our contracted service division delivers annual testing and adhoc efficacy studies as well as engaging with commissioning and validation of facilities and specialist equipment.

Job purpose

The new Engineer will be joining a team of professionals in the Field Service Division delivering testing and validation at client sites across the UK and Ireland. These buildings and the specialist labs and spaces are serviced by complex physical barriers, ventilation systems & control systems which form part of the physical infrastructure that enables them to operate safely and efficiently.

Our work supports the licensing of these important facilities to ensure they are fit for purpose whether delivering research for new treatments or protecting laboratory workers and others from exposure to dangerous pathogens.

Planning site attendance, liaising with contractors appointed by the client, completing programs of work within specified time frames, reporting results to the company, client and sub-contractors to allow projects to move towards to completion. Completion of all service documentation in a professional and timely manner. Responsible for the safety, maintenance and calibration of all company provided equipment. Provide daily updates on works to the operations team and ensure all company policies, procedures are adhered too and that all Health & Safety requirements are always met.
